The home of race control

A legendary race track. A landscape of unmatched beauty. And a host of recreational activities whose diversity is difficult to beat. The potential of the Murtal region as a destination for recre-ation and vacationing has always been unique. “Projekt Spielberg” has created the prerequisites necessary to fully capitalize on the possibilities that the region offers. The construction of the Red Bull Ring has not only created one of the most modern race tracks worldwide, but the “Projekt Spielberg – NOMEN EST OMEN” brand. The Red Bull Ring, the experiential driving experience of Projekt Spielberg, provides plenty of driving fun with an off-road car and bike track, a go-kart track, and the Driving Center.
Spielberg doesn’t just offer motor sports in a class all its own, but also plenty of pleasures and high-end recreation. A diverse range of special hotels and culinary pleasures awaits the visi-tor—from the Hotel Steirerschlössl, a hotel with a highly rated gourmet restaurant and guest house to the Hotel G’Schlössl Murtal, a charming hotel decorated in a country-house style, to the Hotel Hofwirt in Seckau, situated in a Baroque building that is protected as a historic monu-ment, the Hotel Schloss Gabelhofen, with a historical architecture of a moated castle and the Landhotel Schönberghof and Gästehaus Enzinger with its spectacular view of the Spielberg mo-tor sports park.

DRIVING EXPERIENCES

COME AND PLAY AT THE MOST FANTASTIC LEISURE DESTINATION
Anything is possible at the Red Bull Ring if it involves petrol, acceleration and adrenaline. De-cide for yourself whether you want to blast around the track in a sports car or on a motorcycle, put you off-road driving skills to the test, try to come closer to driving perfection with a train-ing session at the Driving Center, have a motorsports legend let you in on some secrets of racing or even experience lateral g-forces on the go-kart track.

PUT YOUR GUESTS ON THE INSIDE TRACK
DRIVING CENTRE
Your guests are guaranteed a fun and action-packed experience at the Driving Centre at Red Bull Ring. With a total area of 46,000 m2, it features a skid pad, a steep downward slope, a circular track and an approx. 1,600 metre long floodable car-handling course. The Driving Centre has its own facilities, including a briefing room, pits and a generously sized viewing ter-race.

FOUR-WHEEL-DRIVE TEST TRACK
The picturesque 8,000 square metre long four-wheel-drive test track is the highest track at the Red Bull Ring and the perfect playing area for team-building events. There are twelve demand-ing sections to negotiate and tackle. Steep gradients, axle-twisting obstacles, small mounds with sudden drops, a washboard track, a timber track and gravel trap require precision and excep-tional driving skills. Our large pool of vehicles provides you with the appropriate playpals, in-cluding the Land Rover Defender and special off-road buggies.

FUN FOR EVERYONE
GO-KART RACING TRACK
Ever thought about organizing your company’s own Grand Prix? At the 850 metre long go-kart track at Red Bull Ring, there are karts with four-stroke engines available – so you can enjoy those special highspeed thrills. And with professional timekeeping, your guests will really feel like they’re F1 superstars. The track also has its own facilities, making it possible for you to host your entire corporate event there.

ENJOY HIGH SPEEDS IN GOOD COMPANY
OFF-ROAD CAR TRACK
A 550 hectare off-road experience awaits you at your next corporate event – on a nine kilo-meter long test track, where your guests can experience the thrills of high speeds alongside an experienced instructor in the “rally cab”. The off-road track also offers a variety of framework programs for those who want to explore the great outdoors without a car. And the fun doesn’t stop there: head to the cosy Bernardi cabin, located at an altitude of 1.600 metres, or the con-verted barn near the entrance to the off-road track, where you can kick back and relax.

A DIFFERENT KIND OF ADVENTURE
OFF-ROAD BIKE TRACK
Your corporate event can also thrill and impress guests with two wheels instead of four: on our off-road bike track. Enduro fans can put their skills to the test on three different trails covering 5.7 kilometres in total. Located at the northern part of the track, there’s a trial bike adventure playground peppered with different obstacles, and suitable for everyone from beginners to pro-fessional daredevils.

A VENUE WITH REAL HORSEPOWER
CAR PARK
This building is home to our own pool of sports cars – including KTM X-Bows, Formula Re-naults, Mitsubishi Evo IXs and many more two or four-wheeled vehicles that you and your guests can try out on one of our many tracks. The venue is also ideal for product launches/ presentations, thanks to a seminar room offering great views of the racing track. The washing facilities and workshops can also be used for the presentation of new vehicles.

BULL SCULPTURE AT THE RED BULL RING

The sculpture took a year and a half to build and was completed in May 2012. The full sculp-ture (including the arch) is 17 metres 20 in height, and the bull itself 14 metres 60. The bull consists of a “skin” made of approximately 1,700 welded plates made of COR-TEN steel (a non-rusting steel that develops a rust-like appearance on the surface), supported by a framework made of untreated steel and shaped like a bull’s skeleton. The combined weight of the bull and skeleton is 68 tonnes. The base is made of 44 tonnes of steel cast in 950 tonnes of concrete. The arch is a self-supporting structure made of 83 aluminium pieces produced using the lost-foam casting process (total weight: approximately 32 tonnes). These were welded into 20 segments comprising four to six pieces each and then bolted together. The positive moulds for the casting process were made of special gasifying Styropor, milled by a robot in accordance with CAD files. The cast-aluminium horn measures seven metres from tip to tip and is gold plated using the leaf-gilding method – still the most durable form of surface coating for open air purposes. How-ever, the amount of gold is roughly only equivalent to a single Vienna Philharmonic coin. The total weight of the sculpture, including all its parts, is approximately 1,300 tonnes.
