Martin Cramer’s distinguished career in hospitality spans over 30 years. He is a German national who is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese in addition to his mother tongue and holds a Diploma in Hotel and Tourism Administration from the Industrie & Handelskammer Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Being appointed as General Manager in early 2018, Cramer has brought to bear a wealth of experience to Abu Dhabi’s landmark property and now continues to lead his team in delivering the highest of standards and the very best in Emirati hospitality.

History & Story
The construction of Emirates Palace began in December 2001 and took approximately three years to complete. Designed by Wimberly Allison Tong and Goo (WATG), leaders in the hospitality design industry, Emirates Palace is owned by the Government of Abu Dhabi and was purposely built to host heads of states and celebrities, and to represent the very best in Emirati hospitality. An architect’s dream, the design incorporates elements of traditional Arabian style like large domes, mosaic tile motifs, marble and gold leaf finishing.

With a 1.3 km private beach and located along the Western-most tip of the landmark Corniche that extends across the base of the Abu Dhabi skyline, Emirates Palace is essentially a resort in the heart of a cosmopolitan city. A 40-minute drive from the Abu Dhabi Airport, Emirates Palace gives great accessibility to the city’s major tourist attractions and to Dubai.

Emirates Palace Kids Club caters to children up to twelve years old with various fun filled games and activities. It features an exciting outdoor play zone for fun and learning in a brightly coloured environment for children next to the West pool.
