History & Story
It was none othert han Angelina Jolie who recommended to Arnaud Zannier during her stay at Phum Baitang that he flew to Namibia in order to see if he may want to open a lodge there. She made the introduction to Dr. Rudie van Vuuren and his wife Marlice, founders of Naankuse foundation, who assisted Zannier in the purchase of the 9000 hectare Zannier Reserve and today are our partner in regards to animal excursions. A second lodge in the South of the country will follow in summer 2019.

Main Strengths, Special Touch
Local architecture inspired by the Ovambo tribe. Traditional constructions method sused, round huts made of sandbags covered by pigmented mud and hand-thatched roofs. All huts offer modern amenities such as air-conditioning, heating, fire places, separate shower and large bathtub with view, flatscreen TVs, minibar.
Located 30 minutes from Windhoek Hosea Kutako International Airport and 1 hour from Windhoek city. Set in a 9000 hectare private reserve with plenty of wildlife to watch.

Game drives (included in the rate), cheetah walks, rhino tracking, elephant tracking, leopard tracking, watching meerkats, visiting the Shiloh Wildlife Sanctuary, a clinic for sick or injured rhinos and elephants, visiting local schools.
Omaanda is the only lodge in Namibia with a heated infinity pool.
For safety reasons children under 6 years are not permitted at Omaanda.

« Ambo Delights » overlooking the infinity pool and with amazing views of the savannah. Serves a la carte breakfast, mezzeh for lunch and a 4-course menu for dinner, including game meat, fish and vegetarian options.
