Santorini Mozambique
History & Story
Located above the red cliffs of Kingfisher Bay, just north of Vilanculos, Santorini sits proudly like a small Greek village a top the raw African landscape. This precipitous outlook has a panoramic view over the Bazaruto Archipelago of white sand islands; from here guests can sit and enjoy the endlessly changing aquatic hues.
Once inside the spacious white-washed villa attention to detail and personal touches exceed expectation throughout. There is nothing that hasn’t been lovingly considered here; from the stunning Cycladic-style villa design through the glorious decor (hand-carved doors from Bali, antiques from Indonesia and Greek-inspired furnishings) and from the lush landscaped gardens set with olive trees and bougainvillea to the delicious food harvested from the villa’s own garden and surrounding ocean.
Santorini offers a range of accommodation options appealing to couples, friends and families alike comprising 3 main elements – The Main Villa being a suite of 5 separate suites each named after one of the archipelago islands and The Chapel and Villa da Praia being stand-alone exclusive use properties each coming complete with personal host and chef.
Santorini’s personalised and polished approach offers guests an unforgettable programme of experiences ensuring guests of all ages can do as much – or as little – as they wish during their stay. Guests can make the most of the magical waters by chartering Santorini’s own motorized super cat Aphrodite, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, snorkeling, taking dhow trips, bill fishing and kite surfing and scuba diving from nearby Vilanculos. Alternatively, the stunning views can be appreciated by air or land with scenic helicopter flights and horse riding all readily available. Or, for a complete recharge, guests can visit the newly opened Spa Na Colina tucked away on a hill amongst palm trees and lush vegetation. Here therapists will work their magic using products created from the local marine world.

Main Strengths, Special Touch
Santorini’s position on the coastal mainland offers the best of both worlds combining easy and affordable access via Vilanculos airport (with regular flights from South Africa) with convenient proximity to the much-coveted white sandy beaches and glistening turquoise waters of the Bazaruto Archipelago. As one of the largest marine reserves in the Indian Ocean, the archipelago offers some of the best scuba-diving and snorkeling in the world with a captive cast of over 2000 species of fish, as well as dolphins, whales, turtles, sharks and the largest population of Dugong in Mozambique.
Location
Santorini Mozambique is located 20 minutes north of the Coastal town of Vilanculos. Vilanculos is well known as the gateway to the Bazaruto Archipelago and was one of Mozambiques first well known tourist destinations. With regular flights from South Africa and now improved road access, Vilanculos is fast becoming a popular destination with tourists and travellers alike.
The town itself is only about 5km long, filled with all the amenities needed to make your visit comfortable yet local. The airport is based on the outside of the town with flights arriving and departing on a daily basis.
