Main Strengths, Special Touch
The Last Word Constantia has inordinately large rooms, perfect for relaxation and, as savvy travellers know, just better for unpacking rather than living out of a suitcase. At the centre of the property lies the sunken swimming pool and deck which are surrounded and kept private by the majestic gardens, a signature of The Last Word Constantia. Our lavish breakfasts, bottomless teas, coffees and soft drinks, even premium spirits and select wines are all complimentary and served to guests with the unforgettable and warm hospitality that The Last Word has become renowned for.
Location
The hotel is right in the heart of Constantia, an exclusive suburb and the Cape’s oldest wine valley, on the doorstep of a number of world famous wine farms, and a few more private ones too.
Key sites/activities in the area
The hotel is just a few minutes drive from Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens, beaches, shopping and golf courses. There is also easy access to the city and Cape Point in no time at all. The main attraction in the area would be the wine route which is home to many wine farms and world renowned restaurants. Our staff are waiting to assist in booking your time at one of Cape Town’s favourite tours or experiences and our drivers are ready to transport you there hassle free.
Fun Facts
The Last Word Constantia is now completely off the municiple water grid and only uses natural ground water purified through a commercial sanitation and filtraion system, guests to our hotel need never worry where their water is coming from.
There are complimentary mountain bikes available for guests to explore the local greenbelts and trails.
Other than our famous lavish breakfast, we now have a wide array of options to suit every walk of life, these include fresh veggie jars, yogurt pots and even a Nutribullet menu.
On sunny days, which is most of them, we run a gin bar around the pool for guests to try different gins, tonics and cocktails, all complimentary of course.
