Main Strenght, special touch
The American architectural firm Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) LLP were responsible for the conceptual design of China World Tower. The hotel’s key interiors of the public areas, guestrooms, recreational and meeting and banqueting facilities were designed by Hirsch Bedner Associates (HBA) Design Consultants.
China World Summit Wing, Beijing is part of the new 330-metre China World Tower, Beijing’s tallest building in Beijing’s Central Business District and destined to become its newest iconic landmark, located on the northern end of the China World Trade Center complex. The hotel is connected via covered walkways with Traders Hotel, Beijing to its south and with Kerry Hotel, Beijing to its north. A short stroll away through the China World shopping mall is China World Hotel, Beijing. The China World Exhibition Hall, two office towers, residential apartments and the fashionable China World designer shopping mall all form part of the complex.
Soaring 330 meters, China World Summit Wing, Beijing, is the tallest hotel in the city. All 278 rooms and suites with floor-to-ceiling windows offer unrivalled views of the city centre.
China World Summit Wing, Beijing held the first Vertical Marathon cooperated with International Skyrunning Federations in August 2013 and will keep this activity as the annual event. Also, the first Fashion Contest happened in October 2013 and this will be the continuous activity in 2014 as well.
The hotel features 278 guestrooms including 29 suites on levels 64 to 77, with floor-to-ceiling windows. All rooms present a classic wooden decor with subtle Chinese touches, mood lighting, large feather duvets and exquisite amenities. Features include 40-inch flat-screen televisions, DVD players, iPod docking stations, Nespresso coffee machines and designer beds.
Restaurants & bars
China World Summit Wing, Beijing has the city’s highest dining and entertainment venues.
Grill 79, The Lounge, the bar Atmosphere, a Wine Bar and the Chairman Rooms are located from level 79 upward.
Fook Lam Moon offers gourmet Chinese cuisine on level four. Nadaman, on level 4, specialises in kaiseki cuisine and also serves teppanyaki, sushi and a la carte dining. The Red Chamber offers à la carte dining, regional set menus and tailor-made menus, as well as a dim sum selection that combines quality with value for money. Noodle Bar has Beijing’s widest range of noodles served with an equally broad choice of condiments and sauces.
For relaxation and recreation, the hotel has a lifestyle sanctuary with 24-hour gymnasium and indoor infinity swimming pool on level 78, as well as CHI, The Spa, Shangri-La’s signature spa brand and Beijing’s highest spa retreat on level 77.
CORPORATE AND CELEBRATION EVENTS
China World Summit Wing, Beijing has 5,500 square meters of conference and banqueting space. The pillar less Summit Ballroom spans 2,340 square meters with a ceiling height of 10 meters and can accommodate up to 2,000 people theatre style and 1,400 guests for banquets. With direct lift access from the car park, the ballroom can easily be transformed into a car showroom for model launches.
Additional facilities include a rooftop Pine Garden on level six, a 95-seat auditorium and 12 function rooms, all with natural daylight.
