CASAS BRANCAS BOUTIQUE HOTEL & SPA
History & Story
In 1974, the architecture of Casas Brancas stood out from Humaitá Hills, even when it was a simple four-bedroom house. Today, it has become an example of elegance: a worldwide known Boutique Hotel with 32 rooms, pieces of art in all corners of the hotel, and decor specifically designed for each room. The company, familiar and traditional in the region, is stocked with Mediterranean inspirations which add sophistication and simplicity.
The hotel’s last complete renovation took place in December 2015. However, the accommodations are constantly being renewed and redecorated by its owners with artwork brought from travels around the world. Casas Brancas also has many pieces from local artists displayed throughout the hotel, such as Milú Petersen and Christina Motta.

Main Strengths, Special Touch
A welcoming traditional Brazilian drink, 30 minutes of a welcome massage, 2 types of brigadeiros (a typical Brazilian dessert) at check in, and a check out kit containing supplies to distract guests during their return to the airport.
Just three hours away from Rio de Janeiro, Casas Brancas is located in the downtown area, on the top of the Humaita Hill with a privileged view of the ocean and of the Armação Bay, where the famous Brigitte Bardot statue is situated. The hotel is also close to the native beaches of Azeda & Azedinha and to the main street, called ‘Stones Street’, with an extensive variety of restaurants, bars, and boutiques.

In 1974, Buzios was a little fishing village, and Casas Brancas was just a simple four bedroom house. The hotel was named after being a reference point during the fishing time, known as the “white houses (on the hill)”, which came from the local fishermen’s ‘Casas Brancas’ in Portuguese.
Founded by two Argentineans inspired and delighted by the pristine fishing village, they started to host friends and family. It was then that the house became a hotel with thirty-two rooms. Now, Casas Brancas is a group with two hotels, a Spa, and four restaurants.
Guests at the hotel must have a minimum age of five years old. There is no special space for children.
The hotel has thirty-two rooms, separated in eight luxury categories: Standard Jr, Standard, Classic, Superior, Deluxe , Suite Jr, Master Suite and The Suite.
