Klaus Kabelitz joined Belmond in July 2015 from Le Richemond Genève, a Dorchester Collection property he managed since April 2012. Klaus was previously General Manager of The Berkeley, London, a position he held for nine years.

History & Story
Belmond is preserving a London legend, sensitively restoring five 1800s Queen Anne-style buildings, unique to the Chelsea borough of London. Notable connection with two icons of the stage, Oscar Wilde and Lillie Langtry. The restaurant space features original Prince of Wales feather detailing, a cheeky nod to the Prince who was associated with Lillie Langtry, a former resident of the hotel.
Belmond Cadogan Hotel has been under refurbishment since October 2015. The interiors reflect modern British style with a contemporary feel, drawing inspiration from the hotel’s original features.

Restaurants & Bars
Adam Handling, Chelsea, is a modern British restaurant with a sustainable approach. At the centre of the space there will be an open kitchen, complete with a wood-fired oven and chefs tables.
Adam will create an Afternoon Tea to be served in the Cadogan Tea Lounge. Each item will be prepared at the in-house bakery, including an abundance of cakes, cookies and chocolates.
In the main bar, Adam plans to serve classic cocktails using British ingredients with minimal fuss, alongside a British Cheese and charcuterie selection. In the mini bars in each bedroom, guests will find bottled classic cocktails, made exclusively for the hotel. Each bottle is themed on British history with bespoke artwork and created at Adam’s bar lab in Hoxton.
