History & Story
Starting life as a home in 1909, Foxhill Manor was originally called Furzehill, however became know as Foxhill most likely on account of the large number of foxes that could befound in the grounds. In the 1930’s Foxhill was home to Henry Maudslay DFC who was the key in the planning and deployment of the Bouncing Bomb for the famous ‘Dam Busters’ operation. Opening its doors as a hotel in 2014, Foxhill has been thought fully rejuvanted as a Private House Hotel.
Main Strengths, Special Touch
Staying at Foxhill Manor is a bit like staying with good friends, good friends with great taste who have thought of everything. This is a new type of stay: all the character and charm of a boutique-hotel hideaway, served up with heartfelt personal service and an easygoing at-home atmosphere.
Simply put, Foxhill is a private manor-house hotel in the Cotswolds, overlooking the village of Broadway. An intimate Grade-II listed Arts and Crafts country home refreshed and revitalised for the 21st century. Within a stone’s throw you’ll find Chipping Campden, Stratford-upon-Avon & Bourton on the Water. Travel a little further to reach Blenheim Palace or the spa town of Cheltenham.
