Hotel General Manager
Mrs. Cristina Zuccari
Cristina involvement in the hospitality industry goes back around 15 years ago, when with her mother started renovating the GHM.
After returning the Hotel to its traditional splendour, the family intends to make the historic property the place of culture and artistic inspiration it had been in the past.
Cristina Zuccari cooperated with Adelina Von Furstenberg and Art of the World to come up with the idea to hold a contemporary art show on Lago Maggiore: first edition in 2005 was dedicated to the work of Jannis Kounellis, following years to Bob Wilson, William Kentridge, Liliana Moro, Velasco Vitali, only to name a few.

Development strategy
The Grand Hotel Majestic is actively exploring S&M opportunities to host a selection of well-travelled, cultured and discerning guests, looking for an authentic travel experience in a non-touristy city: actually Verbania, home of our hotel, was just ranked, once again, among the most environmentally friendly places to experience for sustainable living among 104 cities, in Italy.
This important distinction comes from the respected Italian environmental organization Legambiente in its report “Urban Ecosystem”.
Though not a tourist destination per se, Verbania never ceases to amaze visitors, since the Grand Tour period.
The Grand Hotel Majestic is part of the Italian Ecolabel Legambiente Turismo since 2007 and our mission is to enhance the protection of Lago Maggiore.

Piedmont is the region where the Slow Food movement began, aimed to defend regional traditions, good food, gastronomic pleasure and a slow pace of life. Today, Slow Food represents a global movement involving thousands of projects and millions of people in over 160 countries.
La Beola, the hotel’s main restaurant, stays true to the movement and our Chef Danilo Bortolin offers traditional recipes recreated with a modern flair, combined with spectacular views of Lago Maggiore and great wines: Piedmont is one of the great wine growing regions in Italy, best known for producing Barolo and Barbaresco.
