History & Story
Located in the heart of Buckinghamshire’s vast Langley Park, The Langley offers 41 sumptuous bedrooms, spread between the grand and historic former hunting lodge of the third Duke of Marlborough, and adjacent Grade II-listed 18th century Brew House. Boasting a vast subterranean spa, state of the art Matt Roberts gym and seasonally-driven restaurant, the hotel has been meticulously restored and designed in partnership with the award-winning Dennis Irvine Studios. Built between 1756 and 1760, the main Langley Park House is a grand Palladian mansion situated within iconic Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown-designed gardens. The building has been refurbished to allow historic original features to shine, reflecting the spectacular natural setting with refined elegance, and referencing the grandeur of its distinctive British heritage.

Fun Facts
The main house of The Langley, a Luxury Collection hotel, Buckinghamshire was the hunting lodge of the third Duke of Marlborough. Upon the commencement of restoration, when lifting the tiles in the main reception, we found an original Victorian Mosaic underneath. We then embarked on restoring the mosaics using an expert restorer and brought the floor back to its former glory. We discovered the wording at the centre is extremely fitting to the hotel as it reads as follows: ‘Welcome the coming, speed the departing guest.

Restaurants & Bars
Marco Ardemagni, the Head Chef of The Langley oversees all the dining outlets. The hotel’s principal restaurant, Cedar will focus on fresh flavours for all-day dining, using local and seasonal British produce. Offering a choice of lighter small plates, primi and larger mains, all dishes are designed for sharing, creating a relaxed and informal dining atmosphere. The chef plans to create an extensive organic kitchen garden over time, whilst produce will be sourced primarily from local home counties producers, and larder ingredients including pasta, pickles, jams and bakery products will be created in-house. Dishes will be cooked simply to allow ingredients to shine, with larger cuts of meat grilled to perfection in the restaurant’s Josper grill.
