VILLA CORA
History & Story
Villa Cora is an aristocratic residence built in 1868 when Florence was the Capital of Italy by the Baron Oppenheim as a gesture of love for his bride, Eugenia Fenzi. Throughout the years Villa Cora has become one of the major cultural and cos-mopolitan symbols of Florence. Today the Villa is admired for its grandeur and the wealth of the internal decorations, in which an eclecticism of styles from different periods can be noted. The splendor of all the time remains in evidence: the frescoes and marble public rooms are breathtaking and the guest rooms are beautifully furnished.

Villa Cora reopened on January 2011 after a detailed four-year restoration by Marianna Gagliardi together with the owner Antonella Gatti Fratini.
