History & Story
The romantic manor house was built in 1816 by Samuel Hambleton, Purser on the USS Niagara to Commodore Hazard Perry, and made to resemble Commodore Perry’s quarters. The property became a hotel in the 1980s and eventually gained acclaim for its sophisticated and elegant guest rooms and suites, as well as the stunning waterfront views, in the storied town of St. Michaels, Maryland. Today Inn at Perry Cabin by Belmond is a romantic escape for those looking to unplug and unwind, to relax and rejuvenate, in a picture-book beautiful waterside setting.
