HISTORY

  • Rosewood Hotels & Resorts Established with first hotel, Mansion on Turtle Creek in Dallas, Texas in 1979
  • 1993, Rosewood enters the Caribbean in Little Dix Bay, Virgin Gorda (BVI) developed by conservationist and philanthropist; Laurance Rockefeller
  • 1997, Rosewood opens the stunning Las Ventanas al Paraiso in Los Cabos, first Mexico resort
  • Rosewood announces the purchase and management of The Carlyle, New York’s iconic upper east side hotel in 2000
  • 2011, Rosewood Hotel Georgia; Vancouver reopens after comprehensive restoration as Rosewood’s first Canadian city hotel
  • Rosewood London opens in 2013 being the first European hotel
  • Rosewood is awarded management of historic Hotel de Crillon in Paris which reopened in 2017 after a 4 and half year renovation
  • Rosewood opens first South East Asia resort, Rosewood Phuket in late 2017 on Emerald Bay
  • Rosewood Baha Mar opens in 2018 on the stunning white sands of Nassau’s Cable Beach
  • In 2019, Rosewood opened Bangkok, Hong Kong, Santa Barbara with two further hotels to open late 2019 in Guangzhou & Yangon
